Renting a property in today’s fast-paced market can feel overwhelming — but at NGU Homes, we’re here to make it simple, transparent, and stress-free.

With over 15 years’ experience and a dedicated team of friendly, highly trained professionals, we’re proud to support tenants at every step — from your first enquiry to moving in (and beyond).

Step 1: Pre-Application Screening

Before booking a viewing, we’ll ask you to complete a quick pre-application form. This helps ensure:

  • You’re looking at properties within your budget
  • You avoid applying for homes that may not be financially suitable
  • We only progress applications that meet our affordability criteria

We assess affordability using criteria similar to mortgage lenders — so please don’t be discouraged if your application isn’t approved.

We consider all circumstances, including tenants in receipt of Universal Credit.

Step 2: Secure Your Dream Home

Once you’ve found a property you love:

  • Pay one week’s rent to begin the referencing and vetting process
  • Our vetting takes just 7 days, meaning you could move in within two weeks
  • After approval, you’ll be asked to pay the  first month’s rent and deposit

Step 3: Move-In Day

We’ll be there to welcome you:

  • Sign your tenancy agreement and review your inventory
  • Collect your keys
  • Receive support from our team to make your move as smooth as possible

Ongoing Support for Our Tenants

Most of our rental properties are fully managed by NGU Homes, so we’ll remain your main point of contact throughout your tenancy. You can expect:
