What’s best a finished property or a refurb?

There’s lots of hassle with a refurb, especially a large refurb – knowing what to do, for how much and in what order?

Things go wrong, tradesman let you down and there’s always costs you can’t calculate before starting a strip out. If you get it right though it’s a great way to make money.

We sold this DEAL, earlier this year.

It was a cracking buy-to-let, purchase price of £78k with an end value of £110k. While people often concentrate on the numbers, quite rightly, they often forget there’s a double bubble in going down the buy, refurb and remortgage route:

  1. You get some of your input (deposit & refurb) costs back when you remortgage to a higher value.
  2. Also, just as importantly, your creating a brand new property, your ongoing maintenance costs are going to be low due to everything being NEW!

How would that feel, having a maintenance free property – TO GENERATE YOU MONEY EVERY MONTH!
