When we source a property for our investors we are always looking to present a rock-solid deal. This is different to a buy, refurbish and refinance deal (also known as a 'buy-to-flip' deal). A buy-to-flip deal is when you buy a low-value property, make the upfront investment to refurbish the property, and then refinance to get a higher return on the initial investment. It is a great way to get a pot of cash to help you start building a portfolio. However, when you're building your portfolio, you need to look at rock-solid rentals where you put in less upfront but get your return from a high rental yield.
