Meet Alex, one of our valued landlords who faced a roofing dilemma.

When his tenant reported a leak, we quickly sent out our trusted contractors to give Alex a quote.

Due to the size of the quote presented, Alex sought a more budget-friendly option and decided to source a tradesman online.

Initially, the quote came back significantly cheaper and Alex instructed them to go ahead, only to find out later that they hadn't actually even seen the roof before sending that quote and therefore requoted him (after starting the job) at a much higher price matching that of the original NGU quote.

There were many twists and turns to Alex's story including court proceedings, prison time, more money spent to get the work done correctly by NGU and a lot of time and stress for our landlord.

The lesson learned: trusted contractors save time, money, and headaches.
