Prevention is better than cure…
Have you ever tried to employ a tradesman lately? Labour isn’t cheap and nothing ever takes 5 minutes.
That’s why it’s always a good idea to inspect your property at regular intervals, we recommend initially six months and if the tenant is settled, on an annual basis.
At an inspection, it’s always nice to have a cup of tea or coffee to make sure your tenants are settled and also to deal with any issues they have. It’s also a good idea to look around for any maintenance issues.
Some grouting coming away or a leaking tap could lead to a more significant issue like damaged plaster work or decor, if not fixed.
The same with guttering and missing roof tiles, water is something which can cause real damage, if left.
That’s why at every inspection we systematically go around each room, to make sure the property has been well kept but also to identify any future issues which would be cheaper to deal with immediately.
