Gateshead Selective License Scheme

We wanted to make you aware that Gateshead Council is introducing new selective and additional licensing schemes across 16 neighbourhoods, beginning 1st June 2025.

Following a Cabinet meeting on 18 February 2025, the council approved these changes to improve housing standards and tackle local issues such as anti-social behaviour, poor property conditions, and deprivation.
