Our job isnโ€™t all gravy, if being a landlord was always easy we wouldnโ€™t have a job!

Donโ€™t get me wrong we deal with lovely properties, lovely tenants โ€“ who pay their rent on time and donโ€™t give us any problems but if we only did that we wouldnโ€™t have anything to talk about!

Sometimes we get abandoned properties to refurb, have you ever walked into a property, maybe when you bought it and thought where do we start here?!?!

We get that all the time and the only way to deal with it and to get the best result is to use a systemised approach. We use a 644-point checklist to check every single issue in a property so nothing gets missed. It allows us to check doors, locks, paintwork, light fittings etc. so when we approach our tradesman we know exactly what needs doing to each room.

When a tenant moves in theyโ€™ll check every single cupboard door and open every window. You might not realise when you initially check a property that thereโ€™s more work than you actually think.

Having a systemised approach allows you to break the problem down, to get the right tradesman and the right finish.
